Generational Healing

DELIVERANCE PRAYERS and CONFESSIONS

Adonai Yeshua Messiah (Lord Jesus Christ), I believe that you are the (Ben Elohim) Son of God. You are the Savior come in the flesh to destroy the works of the devil. You died on the cross for my sins and rose up from the dead. I now confess all of my sins, known and unknown, and repent of each one. I ask You to forgive me and cleanse me in Your blood. I do believe that Your blood cleanses me now from all sin. Thank You for redeeming me, cleansing me, and sanctifying me in Your blood.

Forgiveness Prayer

Adonai Elohim Yeshua, others have trespassed against me, but in obedience to Your command I now forgive each person who has ever hurt me in any way. As an act of my will I now forgive (name them, both living and dead). Lord, I bless each of these; I love them with Your love, and I ask You to forgive them also. And since You have forgiven me, I also forgive and accept myself in the name of  Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). The curse of unforgiveness has no more power in my life.

Occult Confession Prayer

I confess as sin and seek Your forgiveness for every occult involvement. I confess having sought from Satan the help that should only come from God. I renounce every occult activity; I renounce Satan and all his works. I loose myself from him, and I take back all the ground I ever yielded to him. I choose the blessing and not the curse. I choose life and not death.

Loosing From Domination Prayer

In the name of the Adonai Yeshua , I now renounce, break and loose myself from all demonic subjection to my mother, my father, my grandparents and any other human beings, living or dead, who have dominated and controlled me in any way. I thank You, Lord, for setting me free.

Psychic Heredity and Bondage Prayer

In the name of Jesus Christ, I now renounce, break and loose myself and my family from all hereditary curses, and from all demonic bondage placed upon us as the result of sins, transgressions or iniquities through myself, my parents or any of my ancestors. I confess and repent of the sins of my forefathers.

Loosing From Witchcraft & Related Powers

In the name of Yeshua Messiah I now rebuke, break and loose myself, and my family, from any and all evil curses operating through charms, vexes, hexes, spells, omens, jinxes, psychic powers, mind control, bewitchments, witchcraft or sorcery, that have been put upon me through any person, or from any cult or occult source. I command all such demonic powers to leave me in the name of Yeshua (Jesus). I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not beneath.

Breaking Curses Confession

In the name of Adonai Yeshua I confess all the sins of my forefathers, and by the redemptive blood of Yeshua , I now break the power of every curse passed down to me through my ancestral line. I confess and repent of each and every sin that I have committed, known or unknown, and accept Christ's forgiveness. He has redeemed me from the curse of the law. I choose the blessing and reject the curse. In the name of myAdonai Elohim Yeshua ( Lord Jesus Christ ), I break the power of every evil curse spoken against me. I cancel the force of every prediction spoken about me, whether intentionally or carelessly, that was not according to God's promised blessings. I bless those who have cursed me. I forgive each person who has ever wronged me or spoken evil of me. In the name of Yeshua, I command every evil spirit of curse to leave me now.

Breaking Soul Ties

In the name of the Adonai Elohim Yeshua, I now renounce, break and loose myself from all demonic soul ties formed through sinful sexual encounters. (Note: Be as specific as possible when breaking soul ties. Name each sexual partner and verbally renounce the tie with each one.) I accept God's forgiveness for each one. In the name of Yeshua , I command all demons associated with perverse soul ties to go.

Commitment to  Messiah (Christ)

Abba Beshamaim (Heavenly Father), I am your child, redeemed by the precious blood of Yeshua. You have given me life, and I now give my life to you. My heart's desire is to glorify your Name. I am an  Ambassador for Christ and a minister of reconciliation. In Your strength I will love, obey and serve You all the days of my life. Amen!

Come To Yeshua The Deliverer Prayer

I come to you, Yeshua, as my Deliverer. You know all my problems -- the things that bind me, that torment me, that defile and harass me. I now loose myself from every dark spirit, from every evil influence, from every satanic bondage, from every spirit in me that is not the Ruah Elohim ( Spirit of God), and I command all such spirits to leave me now, in the name Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ). I now confess that my body is a temple of the Ruah Kodesh (Holy Spirit), redeemed, cleansed and sanctified by the blood of Messiah. Therefore, Satan has no place in me, and no power over me, through the blood of Adonai Elohim Yeshua.

Exodus 15:26

He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

Exodus 23:25, 26

Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you and none will miscarry or be barren on your land. I will give you a full life span.

Deuteronomy 7:15

The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt …

Deuteronomy 28:1-14, 61

If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all these commands and decrees …The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Generational Healing Prayers

Generational healing prayer can be very effective in helping us heal from past wounds, break family curses and throw off cords of oppression that have hindered our relationship with God.

Prayer to cut generational predispositions

"Dear Adonai ( Lord), if there is any predisposition to ________(alcoholism, lust, etc.) that has come down to me through my parents, my father, my grandparents, etc., I ask You through Your power to set me free. Send Your Ruah Kodesh ( Holy Spirit ), and by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and by the Sword of the Spirit, cut me free from any predisposition to ______________. Adonai Yeshua ///Lord Jesus, in place of this weakness, fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit, and fill me with your spirit of (self-control, confidence, courage, fortitude, or whatever fruit of the Spirit counteracts this weakness that I have). Thank You, Lord, for healing my descendants and me. In Your precious name I pray. Amen."

Prayer to cut generational bondage

"Heavenly  Abba / Father, I come before you, in the blessed name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank you for sending Jesus by whose holy blood and precious sacrifice I and my loved ones can be set free from the brokenness, sinful attitudes and negative patterns of my (our) ancestry. I thank You, Father, that you have called me to be free from all bondage in the name of Yeshua ( Jesus), and I praise you that, in Messiah (Christ), I shall be set free.

And now,  Adonai Yeshua (Lord Jesus), gently reveal to me in the power of the Holy Spirit those ways in which I may be living out inherited sin patterns. All of these sin patterns, known and unknown to me, in my life and in the lives of my ancestors (in my spouse’s life, in his/her ancestors, and in our offspring) – I acknowledge them all before you, Father. I confess to you the evil inclinations, compulsions and bad habits that have influenced us. I ask you to forgive me and all of my ancestors (my spouse and his/her ancestors and our offspring) for all these sins. In the name of Yeshua and by his holy blood, set us free in you forever, Abba Kadosh (Holy Father). Empty our souls of sin, and fill them with the Kdusha in Yeshua (holiness of Jesus).

I claim the  Adonai Yeshua (Lord Jesus) as my true inheritance and I thank you, Abba (Father), for the most wonderful gift of your Ben Kadosh ( Holy Son ). I bless you, Yeshua / Jesus, that you have come to show me my true roots, which are within the very heart of  Abba Father . I praise you. Those whom the Son sets free are free indeed. Alleluia! Amen."

Prayer of thanks for generational blessings

"Dear Abba/ Father, I thank You and praise Your Holy Name for the blessings of ____________(list them all) that have been passed down to me through my family. I thank You for the faithfulness of those in my ancestry who were godly, and I thank You that in any family, there are not only inherited sins for which we should seek forgiveness, but there always are some inherited blessings for which we can praise You. Thank You, Lord. Amen."

Unforgiveness

Unforgiveness is something that can really hold us back from escaping the corruption of sin and living for God.  Unforgiveness comes in many forms, such as bitterness, hatred, malice, holding grudges and resentment.  It can actually block God's forgiveness of our sin and provides a foothold for the devil to influence our lives.  Additionally, unforgiveness can plant a “root of bitterness” in us that leads to various damaging results (ex. ruins the fruit of the Holy Spirit, stunts spiritual growth, contributes to physical illness).  Like acid can destroy the vessel that holds it, so can unforgiveness destroy us when we harbor it.

Here are some key scriptures addressing our need to forgive:

  • 3Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, "I repent,' you shall forgive him." Luke 17:3-4
  • 14"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.  Matthew 6:14-15
  • "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.” Mark 11:25 “ Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

Forgiving others

God expects us to forgive others just as he has forgiven us. Adonai , who is perfect, sacrificed his Son Yeshua so that our sin penalty (death) would be paid.  Because of our faith in Messiah  (and his sacrifice), Elohim forgives us from our sin.  If we then refuse to forgive another person for an offense, we are dishonoring the forgiveness that Adonai gave us. Elohim will hold us accountable for this as Yeshua illustrated in the sobering parable of the unforgiving servant (Matthew18:21-25).

Another important aspect of unforgiveness is that it is a form of pride.  When we’ve been wronged by someone, we have a natural desire to see justice done.  When we withhold forgiveness, we're basically passing judgment on the person. God instructs us to trust in him for the execution of justice. The scripture says, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord” (Romans 12:19).  As Adonai  followers, we must submit our desire for justice to him and trust it in his hand.

This can be very hard to do, especially if someone has spitefully mistreated us or someone we love.  Forgiving someone is not condoning what they have done, but rather, it is laying the case before God’s throne and asking him to deal with it according to his will.  We have to remember that God saw the evil that was done.  He knows how deeply we’ve been hurt.  If we can come to the place where we’re willing to forgive the person through Messiah  love, we will be able to move forward and leave the burden of justice in his capable hands.

Are you ready to forgive?  Not everyone reading this page will be ready to forgive the person(s) who wronged them.  It may take time to get that place of being willing to forgive.  If this is your situation, I encourage you to ask God to give you the desire and ability to forgive "from the heart" as Yeshua mentioned in Matthew 18:35.   Here is an example prayer:  "Lord God, I recognize my sin of unforgiveness.  Please help me get to the point of being willing to forgive those who have wronged me.  Please give me the desire and ability to forgive.  Thank you,Adonai . In Yeshua's  name I pray, Amen."

Prayer to forgive others:  Don't pray this prayer until you are ready to truly forgive the people who wronged you. Elohim commands us to forgive "from the heart."

“Heavenly Abba, you are holy and righteous.  You are perfect in justice.  I confess that I have not forgiven as you have commanded me to.   Through Yeshua  Messiah, I now forgive these people: _________________ (list names and what they did to you).   I confess my pride and judgment of those people.  Please forgive me Abba and cleanse me from my sin.  Please help me to thoroughly entrust these people and the wrongs they caused me into your hands.  I pray that your will be done in my life and in their lives.  Please help me to no longer think on those wrongs , but instead to focus my thoughts on you.  I invite you, Lord, into any painful memories I have concerning what was done.  Please heal any wounds I received and help me to have your perspective on what happened.  (Take time now to pray silently and receive from the Adonai ) Thank you,Abba !   In the name of Yeshua Messiah I pray, Amen.”

Forgiving God

When bad things happen to us, especially when we're young and vulnerable, we might be tempted to blame God for not protecting us from the evil that was done.  The devil loves to taunt the victims with thoughts like "How could a loving God allow this to happen to you?" Unfortunately, many people agree with the devil on that point and turn away from Adonai  Zevaot.  It can be difficult to provide a satisfying explanation to victims of why the evil was "allowed" to occur.

When considering such difficult situations, we can look to the cross for confirmation that Abba is truly a loving Adonai .  When we consider the magnitude of suffering that Yeshua endured on our behalf, we need not doubt his love for us.  Even so, we may also need the Yeshua to give us a deeper understanding of his love, especially relating to the situations where we suffered.  Though we may not understand why the bad things happened, the first step in recovery is to release any unforgiveness we have toward  Elohim.

Here is an example prayer:  "Heavenly Abba , I recognize my sin of unforgiveness toward you regarding __________ (list the situation).  I know that you are perfectly just and holy, although I may not understand why things happened as they did.  I forgive you, Father for any offense that I concluded came from you.  Please heal my wounds and deepen my understanding of your love.  I invite you to give me your perspective concerning what happened.  (take time now in silent prayer to wait on the Lord)  I receive your healing and forgiveness, Adonai . Thank you! In  Yeshua ' name I pray, Amen."

Forgiving ourselves

When we've made bad mistakes in life, it can be tempting to unmercifully hold ourselves responsible.  This too is a way of trying to act like God as judge, inflicting the punishment of condemnation on ourselves.  Granted, we may have been responsible for what happened, but that doesn't mean we have to condemn ourselves for the rest of our lives.  Just as Yeshua has forgiven us for our sin, we need to forgive ourselves for our sin as well.  When we release ourselves from this self-judgment, we will free ourselves to become the new person that  Yeshua intends us to be.

Here is an example prayer:  "Heavenly Father, I confess that I have unmercifully held myself in judgment concerning _________________ (list the situation).  I forgive myself for my role in that situation.  Please cleanse me of all self-condemnation by the blood of Yeshua and restore in me a healthy self-esteem.  Thank you, Adonai  for forgiving me and empowering me to live for you as a new creation.  In Yeshua’s  name I pray, Amen."

Having forgiven others, God and ourselves, we must now walk forward and resist the temptations to revisit the unforgiveness.  This will likely require us to exercise authority over thoughts and persistently make them obedient toYeshua.
